Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lynceus ("Lynceus", "we", "us") handles information in connection with this website. We are a cybersecurity consultancy, and we take the same care with your data that we expect of the organisations we advise.

1. The short version

This is a simple informational website. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising networks, or behavioural analytics, and there are no sign-up or data-entry forms. The only personal data we actively receive is what you choose to send us by email.

2. Information we process

  • Server and access logs. Like all websites, when you visit, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the site securely and to protect against abuse.
  • Email correspondence. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message. We use this solely to respond to and manage your enquiry.
  • Web fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When fonts are loaded, your browser contacts Google's servers, which may process your IP address for that purpose.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process the above data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure website and responding to enquiries, and, where you contact us, to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Website hosting: [Hosting provider, e.g. Cloudflare, Inc.] - serves this website and processes access logs.
  • Email: [Email provider, e.g. Google Workspace] - handles email you send to us.
  • Web fonts: Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC - serves the fonts used on this site.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep data

Access logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and diagnostics. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and meet any legal obligations, after which it is deleted.

6. Your rights

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • object to or request restriction of processing;
  • data portability; and
  • lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, dpa.gr).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including serving this site exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
